Formed in 1991, 1st Choice is the original car parts comparison web site and in all this time has been a leading force in the modern vehicle dismantling industry and in used car parts location.

Always an innovator, we originally provided a telephone service to people looking for car parts and spares. These requests would then be faxed at intervals throughout the day to car breakers across the county. We would use trade magazines to advertise our services.

We have always been keen to take advantage of new technology to help motorists save money on car parts. To this end, we were the first to see and send car parts requests by fax machines, way back in 1991. Our next step was to invest in Data Broadcast Decoders and send car parts requests via the television network, which were printed ‘Live’ at breakers yards on small tele-printers all over the country.

With the advent of the internet, we were the first car parts location service to introduce a car part finder website. In fact, we have one of the oldest registered car parts web sites in the UK, dating back to the mid 90’s! More importantly, we saw the advantage of Two Way communication offered by the internet: We provided an interface for Vehicle Dismantlers, allowing them to not only read details of car parts wanted but also to respond and send personal quotes for car parts directly back to you via email, mobile phone and SMS texts.

We can now offer instant quotes, from breakers’ online stock systems. You can order by phone or online. You can still call our depots to check details but always order via our site. We always advise NEVER paying for goods by bank transfer.

There are now many similar find-a-part services on the web; however, even though this may be considered a tribute to our innovation, none offer the experience or the expertise we have gathered over the past 30 Years, which now sees thousands of people and businesses regularly using 1st Choice Spares to locate quality car parts.
